How to transfer money from TD Bank (US) to TD (Canada) on EasyWeb
Learn how to move money online from your U.S.-based account at TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank ® to your Canada-based account at TD Canada Trust.
Access the TD Bank (US) to TD (Canada) Transfer service on EasyWeb.
To get started, you must be:
- 18 or older
- A TD Canada Trust and TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank ®, customer with an active account
- An active TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank ® Visa® Debit cardholder
- Registered (with consent) for Online Portfolio Linking, TD Bank (US) to TD (Canada) Transfer service, and eSign
Step 1: Go to Transfers
Log in to EasyWeb Online Banking.
From the Accounts screen, select the Transfers option from the left menu.
Select the TD Bank (US) to TD (Canada) Transfer option under Between My TD Accounts.
Step 2: Enter transfer information
Select the account you'd like to transfer funds from using the From dropdown menu.
Your default account associated with the selected TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank ® Visa® Debit Card will be debited.
Select the account you'd like to transfer funds to using the To dropdown menu.
You can only transfer funds between your own TD Canada Trust and TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank ® accounts.
Enter the amount you want to transfer in the How much do you want to transfer to your account? field.
While there's no limit to the number of times you wish to transfer, the transfer amount will count against your debit card's daily purchase transaction limit of $5,000 USD.

Select your currency in either US Dollars or Canadian Dollars.
The current foreign exchange rate at TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank ® will be used. This rate updates every 7 minutes.
Step 3: Review and submit
Review and confirm that your transfer information is correct.
To make a change, select the Edit Transfer button.
Select the Save or print this page link to view a pre-receipt of the transaction.
You'll need Adobe Reader installed to save or print this document online.
From here, you can:
- Review the pre-receipt document
- Print this page
- Save this page for your records
Select the Finish button to send the transfer.
Funds will not be debited from your TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank ® account until the transaction is processed (30 minutes after submission).
A message will appear with a transaction confirmation number for your records.
For the next 30 minutes, your transaction is held in "Pending" status, allowing you to cancel it if needed.
After this time, the status will update to "Completed".
If you want to view transfer activity, select the View Transfers button.
To save or print your confirmation receipt, select the Save or print this page link at the bottom of the screen.
Step 4: View or cancel a pending transfer
To check the status of a transfer, select the Transfer Activity option under TD Bank (US) to TD (Canada) Transfer.
From here, you can view transfer activity.
If there's an issue with a transaction, you'll receive a secure message in your EasyWeb secure message inbox with guidance on how to fix it.
If you want to cancel a transfer, select the Cancel button from the Status column on the right.
Select the Yes, cancel button.
Once selected, this action can't be undone.
You'll see a message confirming that the transfer is cancelled. The transfer status will update from "Pending" to "Cancelled".
Funds will appear back in your account within 30 minutes.
